Ellen Voie, president of Women In Trucking, has recently got a show of her own on Sirius XM, Road Dog Radio. Ellen has done an amazing job with her non-profit organization Women In Trucking, removing obstacles that keep drivers from succeeding in the trucking industry. Everything from working with OEM’s on drivers seats that fit women better, to helping drivers get their CDL’s, and even being invited to the White House to speak on behalf of the drivers. Needless to say, we are honored to be on her show.
Ellen has also invited Sandy Goche, WIT February member of the month! Sandy is an expedite owner-operator and team driver. Her and her partner drive a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia, and travel the entire US delivering expedited freight. She has a very impressive resume with over 30 years as a computer systems admin for the Department of Defense. Unfortunately Sandy had to battle cancer so she stepped down from her career to do so. While recuperating from cancer, she decided it was time to join her partner on the road and become a driver. Now she is at the top of her game, Sandy and Stephen are some of the most professional driver on the road today and happen to be Dock411’s top contributor!
